Navigating life can feel like walking a tightrope between the shadows of loneliness and the flickering lights of hope. I faced complex family dynamics that shape my emotions and experiences.
In my household, boys were often valued more than girls, affecting my understanding of self-worth. This unspoken hierarchy made me question my place, leading to feelings of loneliness that lingered like a shadow in my life.
The experience of being overlooked can be isolating. This left me feeling like a ghost—present but unseen—in a room filled with vibrant personalities.
When I confided in my grandmother about my struggles, guilt and sadness washed over me. Nevertheless, in that vulnerable moment, I also caught a glimmer of hope. My grandmother’s readiness to help, despite her own age and frailty, reminded me that genuine love can break through heavy expectations. It was a moment that illuminated the darkness of my loneliness—even if just for a moment. But I rejected her 'sacrificial kindness' politely. The intention of sharing only meant to update her about my current life situation. I know these days will pass. It's just a heart wrenching process that I am unsure how to 'let all go' at once.

"Life is never a flat road."
